Kapoor Tour
I attended the Anish Kapoor opening last night at the ICA which I have to recommend highly. Kapoor is an Indian-born British installation artist whose work stretches the spacial and perceptive boundaries. I was smiling the whole time.

I always wonder, however, how one sets up a show such as this. So many of Kapoor’s pieces are larger-than-life and made of strange materials. The flickr site that the ICA maintains answers my questions well. It must have been cool to see these pieces come into their already-interesting glass windows via crane. It’s great stuff.
Of course, the ICA has many other exhibits that are running right now that are great, and I hope to make it back at a less busy time to spend more thought in the Street Level exhibit. I’m also very excited for their outdoor jazz Thursdays. They’re doing a fantastic job (and curing me a bit from my Boston doldrums!).
